Winner Winner! Sunrise Social Media Competition
We are renowned for our beautiful views of sunrises over the water at the Barwon Heads Caravan Park. This January we want to fill our social media streams with pictures of sunrises at our caravan park and we need your help. In return you could win big! On offer is 2 nights accommodation in one of our family friendly cabins for 2 adults and up to 4 kids. All you need to do is:
1. Follow our Instagram or Facebook account
2. Post your favourite image of a sunrise at Barwon Heads Caravan Park on Instagram or Facebook before 31st Jan 2019
3. Tag us
4. Use the hashtag #bhcpsunrise and feel free to tell us a bit about your pic.
5. Tag a friend who you will bring with you to stay with us if you win!
The best sunrise picture will be chosen by our caravan park managers Jon and Trina and the winner will be announced live on our Facebook Page on the 2 February 2019. The free accommodation is subject to availability and must be used between 1 May 2019 and 31 October 2019 at a time mutually agreed to by the winner and the caravan park managers. So get snapping and good luck.
Our sister park the Riverview Family Caravan Park will be in competition with us to fill up their feeds with sunset pics on their social media channels. Help us show them that sunrises are certainly more beautiful than sunsets!

Barwon Heads Seawall Reconstruction Project
Our guests love to wander along the Barwon Heads Promenade towards the beautiful Barwon Bluff.
The Barwon Heads Timber Seawall which supports the promenade was first built in the 1930s and is in need of repair. The area to be repaired is adjacent to a small area of the Barwon Heads Caravan Park. Guests who stay during the time of the construction works may be subject to some noise and sections of the promenade will be blocked off. The construction works are starting within the next week (Aug 27th onwards) and it is anticipated they will be completed by the end of October 2018. We apologise for any inconvenience during this time, but believe it will be minimal.
Further information on the project can be found on Barwon Coast's website.
If you have any concerns about the works please give our friendly staff a call on 5254 1115

Trail 33W signpost to Stephens Parade now open
Barwon Coast has for a number of years promoted the provision of safer access from Barwon Heads to 13th Beach both on road and off road.
Following upon community feedback to the December 2010 Trail proposal Barwon Coast resolved to proceed with the trail from beach access 33W Signpost to the turning bowl in Stephens Parade. The proposed track to the Surf Club from 33W was put on hold until the outcomes of the multi agency investigations into pedestrian, cyclist and vehicle safety on 13th Beach Rd were completed. These investigations are ongoing.
Application was subsequently made to the Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Coastal Management Act consent for the trail from 33W to Stephens Parade noting that the trail generally follows the direction of the existing informal trails. Such consent was received and Barwon Coast then applied for an obtained a Planning Permit from the City of Greater Geelong.
As part of the Coastal Management Act consent Barwon Coast has developed an approved Vegetation Management Plan (Net Gain) for the coastal dunes.
Brochures and maps available from a number of shops around both towns.
